Code of Conduct

Introduction:

Welcome to TechTinkerLabs.com! Our community is dedicated to providing a collaborative and friendly environment for everyone interested in emerging technologies. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for all those who participate in our community, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.

Purpose:

This Code of Conduct is designed to help all participants in the TechTinkerLabs community interact in a way that promotes a friendly, positive experience for everyone.

Expectations:

  • Be respectful and welcoming. Encourage and support your fellow participants. No one should feel unwelcome, harassed, or excluded.
  • Be considerate. Your work will be used by other people, and your actions will affect the community. Keep in mind that we’re a global community, so you might not be communicating in someone else’s primary language.
  • Be collaborative. Our community grows stronger when we work together. We encourage collaboration to build better projects and foster meaningful connections.
  • Stay professional. Although we encourage casual communication, professionalism is necessary when approaching disagreements, and both personal and professional integrity must be maintained.
  • Respect confidentiality and privacy. Protect the privacy and personal information of your peers and do not share information that others have entrusted to you, except as expressly permitted.

Unacceptable Behavior:

The following behaviors are considered harassment and are unacceptable within our community:

  • Violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person.
  • Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory jokes and language.
  • Posting or displaying sexually explicit or violent material.
  • Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information (“doxing”).
  • Personal insults, particularly those related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
  • Inappropriate photography or recording.
  • Inappropriate physical contact. You should have someone’s consent before touching them.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
